Robin Hood

Robin Hood by Francis James Child myth-folklore-unit-ballads-of-robin-hood.html

The Bishop of Hereford was coming by one day. Robin Hood wanted to make a nice fat deer for them to enjoy. Robin Hood dressed himself as a shepherd. The king asked why they were dressed as this and Robin Hood said that they were going to kill the kings deer but the Bishop did not know why. The Bishop said that they were brave but that the king should know what they planned to do. Robin Hood said that he did not want to go infant of the king and he blew a loud horn. Then came ten of his men. Little John came out and said that they would cut off the Bishops head. The Bishop said that if he would have know it was him he would have gone a different way. Then Robin Hood took the Bishop by the hand and took him to say good bye. Little John came to say that the Bishop should be ready to die. Then Robin Hood took out the Bishops cloak. He found three hundred pounds inside of the cloak and took that as well. Then he spend the cloak on the ground. Little John gave the money to Robin Hood. Then Robin Hood took the Bishop by the hand. He began to have music play loudly and distractingly. He made the Bishop dance and dance. The Bishop got into his dance moves and was distracted by that which is what Robin Hood wanted. The Bishop was just thankful that he was not dead yet. But Robin Hood played this music and made the Bishop dance so he had a chance to run away. So that is what he did, while the Bishop was dancing and distracted Robin Hood was able to escape without him noticing. He went far into the woods away from the Bishop.

Here is a picture of Robin Hood with his bow and arrow aiming to shoot.
